Party Hearty

Let’s take a look at two more masculine cards we will be creating at the Mostly Male Stamp Camp on March 4th and 5th.

Party HeartyLet’s all Party Hearty!  I’ve chosen this set for our manly showcase of cards.  The color scheme used here was Bravo Burgundy, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.  I rubbed the burgundy ink pad over my texture plate several times before running it through the Big Shot with the Crumb Cake cs.  Can you see how the burgundy ink brings out the crevices in the paper?  We will use 6 brads on this care – 1 antique or round brad through the center of the “b” and 5 on top of the party hats.

This card uses new 3 and 3 1/2 circle dies found in the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  Let’s look at the same card using the scallop circle die

Scallop 1 I’ve cut 2 scallop circles, 1 Very Vanilla and 1 Bravo Burgundy, and sponged the scallop edges in burgundy.  Both cards use the wide Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon tied with copper cording or linen thread.  The extra-large espresso photo corner helps balance the card by drawing the eye from the large “b-brad” on the right to the left hand corner.   You can choose either the circle or scallop dies when you craft your card!

Nature Silhouettes is another very masculine stamp set.  We will be wet embossing this set in order to see these silhouettes jump out against the plain background..Elk best

Debbie’s color scheme for Nature Silhouettes is Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie.  Use of the Red Riding Hood 1 1/4” striped grosgrain softens the card  and ties the colors together.  Two Night of Navy brads in the right hand cord also carry the color thru.  If you are making your card for someone who prefers wolves, you can make the alternate card web embossing the wolf instead of the elk

Wolf even better

There is one more card to view and it will be published tomorrow – so remember to check back.  And don’t forget – our Mostly Male Stamp Camp is March 4th and 5th – 4 cards, lots of fun and camaraderie for $10.  If possible, let me know if you plan on attending – 630-759-3089 or  Talk to you tomorrow!
