Andrea, one of our Saturday stampers, stopped by last week with several cards created totally with punches. Andrea’s dear friend, Kathy Moody, had gone to a crafting event at her daughter’s church and crafted these cards. Andrea scanned the cards, recreated them, and shared the finished product with us. See what you think!
This bunny is just darling and totally done with punches! Andrea has used flowers, leaves, ovals, the word window, butterfly, and other assorted punches. As we look closely we do see a touch of marker for the bunny’s whiskers and butterfly’s flight pattern. This is a great card for a child or even for an Easter celebration.
I love the simplicity of these tulips. They are, of course, punched with the bird punch (the wing) and edges have been highlighted . I believe the leaves are also punched from the bird wing, evened out with snips and then scored. We will have to check with Andrea on that as she may have used an actual leaf punch. The scallop circle around the tulips and the scallop border on the card carry through the graceful curves of the tulip. These tulips are appropriate for any occasion.
May I have the honor of presenting Sylvester the Cat! The flash caused a bit of glare, but isn’t this card just too cute! It is amazing what you can do with punches and a creative brain! While this black/red/white cat would be perfect for a child, most adults I know, would appreciate receiving this card in the mail!
This elegant card is simply circles! Andrea used textured white cs for the front of her card and then added 6 coordinating 1 1/4” DSP circles and 6 solid color 1 3/8” circles. A simple ribbon with a pearl center provide the added finishing touch.
Happy Birthday! This “lit” birthday candle is screaming “Happy Birthday to you!” Shimmer and bling have been added to the dripping candle and flame. Stars help launch the birthday celebration. This would be the perfect card for a 1-year old, any child, or anyone celebrating a birthday.
Andrea – a BIG thank you for sharing the punch potpourri with us! And to Kathy – a BIG thank you to YOU for sharing your cards with Andrea. We may be CASing some of these soon!
Stampers, check back on the blog within the next few days. The samples for our May 6th and 7th Birds, Blossoms and Butterflies Stamp Camp are finished and the paper has been cut (thank you Debbie!). I absolutely LOVE these cards. We CAS’d all 5 of them as I fell in love with them when I saw them and knew you would like them too.
