More Rhinestones and Dress Up Cards

I spent the day creating dress samples for the dress up cards we will be doing at the Rhinestone Rhapsody Stamp Camp on May 3rd and 4th.  What fun!  Wish I could whip these up on the sewing machine!

Gold dress 2I love this strapless champagne cocktail dress.  Although the Dress Up Framelit I used has straps, I simply snipped the straps off.  Thin Early Espresso ribbon made a perfect sash and the Build-A-Cupcake punch helped fashion the matching clutch purse.  Note the rhinestones highlighting the purse, sash, neckline and background card stock.  I love the Elegant Lines embossing folder but it does tend to cut thru the Whisper White card stock and form tiny folds. I find misting the Whisper White cs with water helps keep problems to a minimum.  On this card, rhinestones highlight the swirls formed with this folder.

Red Dress 1Debbie created this elegant glimmering red dress.  Black Rhinestones accent the slender waist.  Red rhinestones highlight the tiny flowers in the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.  These dress cards are lots of fun to make.  Although many card stock color combinations can be used, we thought a basic black card with a Whisper White layer would provide the background for any color or pattern you might choose for your dress card.  Note the card below which features a softer look.

Pink DressThis simple pink and white striped sundress was a breeze to make.  Note the simple pink grosgrain belt and the elegant brooch.  A coordinating clutch purse features a single rhinestone.  The embossed lace from the Delicate Designs Textured Impression Embossing Folder provides the perfect background for this sundress.

There are more dress samples to come tomorrow night, but there’s more than dresses scheduled for the Rhinestone Rhapsody Stamp Camp!  Check out the peacock below!

Peacock 1

The World Treasures Stamp set is one of my favorites.  A color combination of Rich Razzleberry and Midnight Muse compliment the colors I used for the peacock.  Simple strokes with the Stampin’ Write markers will provide whatever colors you choose.  International Bazaar DSP is full of the rich hues used here.  Note the sparkling rhinestones highlighting the feathers of the peacock.  The feathers of the DSP and the Fancy Fan embossing folder carry thru the feathery  theme.  Such fun!

Check back tomorrow for more samples.  I will feature the Swallowtail Butterfly and several more dress card samples.
