Love You and Love You More–Traditional Valentines

I love these traditional Valentine cards.  What says Valentine better than red and pink hearts.

Love you 1Strawberry Slush, Regal Rose (ret), and Very Vanilla make up the color scheme for our Love You card.  The DSP is More Amore which can be found on the Clearance Rack.  The pink doily heart is part of the More Amore pack.  The Hearts Collection Framelits provide an easy avenue for cutting the hearts.  Finally, a bit of Regal Rose (ret) ribbon embellishes the finished card.  Love you can be made with either a pink or red doily heart.  The choice is yours!

Love you more blueThe Love You More stamp set features this cute love bird.  Real Red, Pool Party and Whisper White card stock were used.  The DSP is from More Amore which is currently on sale at the Clearance Rack.  Three Candy Dots – Island Indigo used here – highlight the image.  However, Real Red Candy Dots look cute too.  Two different ideas are shown for the inside message.

Love you more inside 1This image shows the inside of a Love You More card.  Again, a pink doily heart is used from the More Amore DSP pack.  Red and White Washi Tape embellishes the bottom area of the insert with a matching heart punched for the upper corner.

The insert below features a red doily heart.  The top of the message insert has been punched with the notch punch and embellished with Pool Party twine.  There are unlimited options on how the message inserts can be finished.  Yours can be as unique as mine!

Valentine Treat Boxes

Box 1These Valentine treat boxes are just too cute and so easy to make.  The bows are made with the fantastic bow die using More Amore Designer Series Paper that is on the clearance rack.  Note the punched heart in the middle of the bow.  A small rhinestone adds a bit of bling as do the 3 rhinestones in the lower left hand corner.

Check out the next sample:

Box 2The great thing about Stampin’ Up Designer Series Paper is that 99% of it is reversible.  The bow shown on this treat box is the reverse side of the DSP used for the bow above.  The cursive “love” used on these boxes is easily die cut with the Expressions Thinlits.  I use 1 or 2 layers of waxed paper between the thinlit and the card stock, and the words almost fall out of the die.  I love this product.  Note the punched hearts used to embellish this treat box.

Let’s look at the next sample:

Box 3This treat box is the pink example.  Although still using the More Amore DSP, this pattern is much lighter.  A soft pink “love” expression was cut and 3 light pink Candy Dots embellish the box.  4 X 4 card stock matching the “love” color has been placed inside each treat box to carry the color thru to the bottom.  These boxes are a cinch to put together, and come with the window and delicate white circle.  (132146 – 6 for $4.95)

Our final sample is in Pool Party.

Box 4This final Treat Box uses the same DSP as our second sample.  By using a Pool Party heart on the bow, Pool Party cs in the bottom of the box and for the “love” expression, the blue in the DSP jumps out.  Note the red glimmer heart and the blue rhinestones embellishing the treat box.  Did you know you can use permanent markers to color your rhinestones?  They dry immediately and are much more practical than buying rhinestones in all different colors!

At our February Stamp Camp, you can choose the DSP and card stock color you want to work with.  The “love” expressions have been pre-cut in Real Red, Pretty in Pink (retired) and Pool Party.  The DSP has been pre-cut so all you have to do is put your bows together!  Even the 4 X 4 cs has been pre-cut.  There is an embellishment box for this stamp camp so you can embellish to your heart’s desire!

I hope you can make Stamp Camp on February 6 (2 – 9 PM), February 7 (2 – 9 PM) or February 8 (9 AM – 4 PM).  We are making 4 projects and the cost is $12.00.  Please contact me if you have any questions.

Bee Mine

Welcome to 2014 Stamp Camps with Paperrose!  I’m looking forward to sharing new products, new techniques, and having fun with all of you!  We are dedicating our February Stamp to hearts – the hearts showing love and kindness, not the hearts that keep us alive.  Hearts Abound Stamp Camp will be held on Thursday, Feb 6th from 2 PM to 9 PM, Friday, Feb 7th from 2 PM to 9 PM, and Saturday, Feb 8th from 9 AM to 4 PM.  The cost is $12 for the 4 projects with all card stock, adhesive and tools provided.  It is helpful if you can let me know when you will be attending, but this is not required.  The more, the merrier!

Bee Mine Black 1Bee Mine is created using the new Hexagon Hive Framelit.  I made two samples – one in black and one in Cherry Cobbler,  Brown Sugar cs is the base for both cards.  Note the main bee in the lower half of the card.  Although this is an optional step, I think the bee solidifies the card.

Bee only

The main bee comes from an older retired set and was stamped on Whisper White cs with Early Espresso ink.  The bee was then colored with Stampin’ Write Markers and cut out.  Embossing with clear embossing powder gives the shiny finish.  The smaller Brown Sugar – stamped bees come from the Collage Curio stamp set.  The “Bee Mine” message has been printed and is easily die cut with the new Banner Framelits set.

Bee Mine Cherry 1Here is the Cherry Cobbler sample that is shown without the main bee.  Note how the empty hexagons are filled with an assortment of embellishments – punched hearts, candy dots, rhinestones, buttons, brads and ribbon.  This is a fun card and every card created at our Hearts Abound Stamp Camp will be different and very individual.

Cherry Bee Mine inside 2I finished my samples with an old fashioned valentine doily;  A red valentine appears inside the black sample, and a white valentine as shown here, for the Cherry Cobbler sample.  Here,  I stamped a Vintage Valentine (retired), added a bit of color, and die cut the message with the Apothecary  Accents framelits.  You can, finish your card however you wish and valentine doilies will be available if you want to use them.  There is a box filled with embellishments for this card – lots of buttons, punches, card stocks, brads, etc.  Come and have fun!

Did you receive “Celebrate the Everyday” and the Sale A Bration brochures?  I sense some confusion as to the difference between the two brochures.

image          image  (open & browse)

Celebrate The Everyday features items that are available through June 1, 2014.  Some items may be carried over after that date, but we won’t know the carry over items until the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog comes out.  The Sale-A-Bration brochure is through March 31, 2014 and features kits that can be purchased, and more importantly, items you can get for free with any $50 Stampin’ Up product purchase.  I will have extra brochures available at Stamp camp.  However, please let me know if you did not receive your brochures as I pay for these to be sent out.

Hope to see you!  Blessings, Rosemary – paperrose01@aol.com – 630-759-3089
