More Spring and Easter

Let’s take a look at another card we will be making at the March Stamp Camp:

2015-02-28 blossomsOne of my favorite color combinations is navy and yellow – or as we see here – purple and yellow.  Once upon a time, when I was a florist, spring would be marked by purple iris and yellow acacia.  We don’t see iris or acacia here, but the purple blossoms against the yellow background provides a very sharp contrast.  The name of this set is Indescribable Gift and is absolutely lovely.  The image is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Wild Wasabi and Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities. Although you cannot tell from this picture, I re-stamped part of the image on scrap, colored one small flower and one bud , cut them out and added them as an overlay to the finished blossom stem.  This technique gives a great 3-D effect.  “Happy Easter” is stamped on the card, but any small message could be used.  The Blackberry Bliss blossoms from the Painted Blooms DSP is the perfect DSP for this card.  Finally, Daffodil Delight butterflies from the Papillion Potpourri set are added for the perfect embellishment.  Do you have Papillion Potpourri?  This set is $14.95 and provides a realistic butterfly image.  Check out the 7 different images on page 149 in the big catalog.  The matching punches are perfect for punching out and layering your butterflies.

So far, we have seen 2 of our March Stamp Camp projects.  I will tell you that the lovely Lotus Blossom set we have seen in the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog, will be featured in our next card.  Several of you have ordered the Lotus Blossom set which is a 3-step stamping process so I thought this would be a great set to use.  Check back shortly!
