Custom Tee

2017.07.20 shirts

The Custom Tees offering was originally planned for June to celebrate the men in our lives.  However, my back surgery and infection played a major role in not having a full June Stamp Camp.  So, August will be the month for Custom Tees and the coordinating dies.  I did use the Tie Dyed stamp set for a different look.  The shirts can be dressed up or down.  There are stamps for buttons, bow ties, a tuxedo front and suspenders, and frilly stamps if you choose to do the female shirt.  There are assorted messages you can stamp directly on the shirt, or use as your sentiment.  The samples shown are done very simply on assorted DSP from my retired assortment.  My suggestion is to choose the DSP, and then the ink.  I started out by stamping the shirts, and then trying to find DSP that would coordinate.  This was not the best method.

Custom Tees is the final card I am offering for August Stamp Camp.  As a reminder, stamp camp is held on August 3, 4, 5.  The times are:  12 Noon – 6 PM on the 3rd, 2 – 6 PM on the 4th, and 9AM – 6 PM on the 5th.  Please let me know by July 31st which cards you wish do.  The first 4 cards are $12. and additional cards are $2 each.

September Stamp Camp will be held on September 7, 8 and 9.  On the September agenda includes the Daisy Delight bundle, the Bike Ride bundle, another Christmas card, and the rest will be a surprise.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  Blessings, Rosemary – (H)630/759-3089 – (C)630/965-1965 – paperrose01@aol.com

Holiday Wreath

2017.07.20 Tim Holtz PoinsettiaThis simple card features a Bigz Die by Tim Holtz.  The wreath is easily die cut and the leaves pull out.  The wreath is embellished with red glimmer berries and a glimmer bow.  The easy background is designed by running Whisper White thru the Big Shot in the Brick Wall embossing folder.  The Watercolor Wash stamp is then inked in the color of your choice and stamped on the debossed side of the card stock.  This gives a quick, but very interesting, background.  The  Christmas sentiment is stamped in red and die cut with a stitched rectangle die.

2017.07.20 Tim Holtz inside poinsettiaThe message layer is stamped in green.  A red star and a deer are added for a bit of glitz.

Now you have seen August Stamp Camp cards that display coffee cups, a silhouette garden scene, pigs, and a wreath.  Which cards will you choose for August Stamp Camp?  If you really like one particular card, you might choose to do all 4 of that card – or maybe you like the different offerings, and choose to do 1 of each.  That choice is totally yours.  But you will need to let me know by July 31st which cards you choose to do.

August Stamp Camp will be held on August 3rd from 12 Noon – 6 PM, on August 4th from 2 – 6 PM, and August 5th from 9 AM – 4 PM.  The cost for any 4 cards is $12.00.  Additional cards are $2 each.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

This Little Piggy

2017.07.20 Piggies hogs, happyI love this new set in the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up Catalog.  So far, my Mother has used “This Little Piggy” for a birthday and an anniversary.  The set is quite versatile and could be used for about any occasion except sympathy. I used the retired Pop of Pink DSP for the background.  “This Little Piggy” was stamped on watercolor paper and allowed to dry.  Spectrum Noir markers provide piggy color.  If desired, splotches of gray or brown ink could be sponged on to imply a dirty pig.

2017.07.20 Piggies 1A rhinestone has been added to the flower on the “You Make Me Happy” card.  “Hogs and Kisses” includes stamped kisses and “She Believed She Could…” is a bit glitzy with yellow Wink of Stella wings.  Touches of clear Wink of Stella were added to all 4 samples.

This is the third offering we have now seen for the August Stamp Camp on August 3, 4 and 5 – Coffee Café, In the Garden, and now This Little Piggy.  Check back to see the Tim Holtz “Holiday Wreath” in the next blog.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding August Stamp Camp.  Don’t forget to let me know which cards you wish to do.  Any 4 cards for $12.00 and additional cards $2 each.

In the Garden

2017.07.20 IN THE GARDEN

This simple but eye-catching card uses the Taylored Expressions die “In The Garden.”  The watercolor wash on glossy paper uses Soft Sky and Marina Mist.  First, the glossy cs is misted with water; then the blended inks are brushed on generously with the aqua brush.  Finally, the cs is allowed to dry and cut to size.  The die is adhered to the bottom and then to the white frame using a strong adhesive. ;

TIP:  An easy way to add glue to the back of intricate die cuts is to take put a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on your silicone craft sheet.  Use a wedge of sponge to press the glue onto the sponge.  Then press the sponge onto the back of your die cut, remove gently the sponge and voila, your die cut is ready to adhere to your card stock. The glue on your silicone craft sheet can be easily wiped off.

Clouds are stamped from the “Lift Me Up” stamp set, cut with the matching dies and popped up with dimensionals.  The knotted black satin ribbon adds interest , texture and dimension.

“In The Garden” is the second offering we have seen for my August Stamp Camp on August 3, 4, and 5.  Remember to let me know by July 31st which cards you wish to do.  You can do any 4 cards for $12.00.  Additional cards are $2.00 each.  Check back soon to see the next blog – “This Little Piggy".”

Coffee Cafe

2017.07.20 Coffee Cafe beansYes, life does happen and coffee often helps.  I love the Coffee Café bundle.  With the stamp set and framelit dies, you can have coffee, lattes, and even a cupcake.  I chose a Pool Party, Garden Green and Early Espresso color scheme with 2 coffee cups.  The Coffee Break Designer Series Paper has some really cute designs.  You can use the coffee bean DSP shown here or flip your paper and use the coffee pot/cup side shown below.  Retired corrugated paper serves as the “heat protector” on one cup.  A die in the set will actually crinkle your own card stock to give the corrugated look.  This allows you to stamp your message, and cut and crinkle it at the same time.  The corner punch was used with Early Espresso to place boundaries on the right side of the card

2017.07.20 Coffee Cafe 1 Look how different your card can be with just a few minor changes.  The overall design remains the same but flipping the DSP, changing the message on the right hand cup as well as the color on both cups, you have a totally different look.

The Coffee Café card is just one of the offerings at my August Stamp Camp which will be held on August 3, 4 and 5.  There will be 5 different cards – each very different from the others.   Crafters can choose any 4 cards for $12.00.  Additional cards are $2 each.  You can choose to do 4 of just one card if you wish.  But you must let me know by July 31st what cards you want to make.

Times for August Stamp Camp:  12 Noon to 5 PM on Thursday and Friday August 3 and 4; 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, August 5.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.  Blessings, Rosemary – (h)630/759-3089 – (c)630/965-1965 – paperrose01@aol.com
