TEA TOGETHER

Imagine sitting with a friend sipping tea and having your friend tell you how wonderful you are!

04.24.19 Teapot lightWhat says a cup of tea better than a teapot?  This Berry Burst teapot is layered on a Whisper White embossed card front.  Debbie designed this card and chose to embellish the card front layer with beautiful Blushing Bride roses from the Petal Promenade DSP.  The top edge of the DSP is die cut with one of the Delicate Lace Edgelits Dies.  The teapot features a die-cut flower colored with Stampin’ Blends and embellished with a coordinating center.  This same flower is added to the corner of the card front and to the message layer.  The sentiment is stamped in black, die cut, and framed in Berry Burst.  Look further down to see this card with a different DSP.

04.24.19 Teacup lightAnd what goes with a teapot?  Well, a teacup, of course.  This card coordinates nicely with the teapot card and uses the same materials, but the card is done vertically instead of horizontally.  The 3 teacups are balanced one on top of the other and feature the same die-cut flower seen on the teapot sample. These flowers are embellished with a single pearl.  Wouldn’t this card be a great way to tell a friend how wonderful they are?

04.24.19 Teapot darkBut maybe you are not a Blushing Bride rose person – maybe you like roses with more depth and variety.  Debbie chose this DSP as an alternate to the one shown above.  The Mossy Meadow of the roses matches the card perfectly.  This is the same card as the first sample but uses a different Petal Promenade DSP pattern.

04.24.19 Teacup darkOur final Tea Together sample also features the alternate Petal Promenade DSP.  I love the look of these old fashioned roses.

Which pattern Petal Promenade DSP will you choose?  Which card – the teapot, the teacup or both?  Lots of decisions for May Stamp Camp.  As a final reminder, May Stamp Camp is scheduled for Thursday May 2nd from 12 N – 6 PM, Friday May 3rd from 2 – 6 PM, and Saturday May 4th from 9 AM – 4 PM.  If these dates/times don’t work for you, please contact me and we can schedule an another date/time.  All tools and supplies are supplied and the fridge has soda pop and water.  Chances are quite good that a snack of some type will be found on the kitchen counter.  Cost for May Stamp Camp is $14 for any 4 cards and $3 for each additional card.  Please let me know which day you will be coming and which cards you wish to make.

SWEET STORYBOOK

04.24.19 Sweet Storybook 1Did I ever tell you you’re wonderful? Sweet Storybook is a cute card with one mouse expressing his feelings to the other. This Poppy Parade and Mango Melon card is developed using the “double Z” technique.  The DSP  is from the Painted Seasons Sale-A-Brations promotion.  The mushrooms and greenery from the DSP fit the theme of our card perfectly.  The front “Z” panel has 4 layers – Poppy Parade, the mushroom layer, the mice layer, and the top layer of Lemon-Lime Twist leaves.

04.24.19 Sweet Storybook 2The second sample is opened a bit more to allow you to see the “double Z”.  Matching dies allow for easy cutting of the mice and leaves.  The large mushroom is stamped and colored with Stampin’ Blends in Poppy Parade and Melon Mango.  The mice are stamped in black and can be colored with stamps or with Stampin’ Blends.  I found it easier to color with the Blends; stamping the color needs to be quite exacting.  The sentiment can be stamped under the Melon Mango “Z”. The card lays flat when fully open.

Isn’t this card the perfect way to tell a friend how wonderful they are.  This would be such a pick-me-up to receive in the mail!  As a reminder, May Stamp Camp is scheduled for Thursday May 2nd from 12 N – 6 PM, Friday May 3rd from 2 – 6 PM, and Saturday May 4th from 9 AM – 4 PM.  As always, if dates/times don’t work for you, please contact me and we can schedule an alternate time.

It’s very helpful if you would let me know which day you are coming and which cards you would like to do.  This allows me to have enough of the cards cut that you might choose to do.

Hope to see you at May Stamp Camp!

DANDELION WISHES

04.24.19 DandelionDid I ever tell you you’re wonderful? “Dandelion Wishes” is an elegant card and perfect for reaching out to a friend with the ultimate compliment.  Debbie designed this card using one of her favorite colors – Lemon-Lime Twist – a color retiring on June 3, 2019.  This simple dandelion is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on a Bokeh Dots stamped background.  The Bokeh Dots set features 2 stamps that are perfect for backgrounds.  The stamped  art piece is framed in Lemon-Lime and white and rests elegantly on retired Lemon-Lime DSP.   The sentiment is the same for all May Stamp Camp cards – DID I EVER TELL YOU YOU’RE WONDERFUL,” and is stamped on Whisper White, punched out with the scallop punch and framed on a large oval punched Lemon-Lime Twist scrap.

Like Lemon-Line Twist, both Bokeh Dots and Dandelion Wishes stamp sets retire on June 3 or sooner if supplies exhaust.  Don’t forget to check the retiring list at Last Chance Products

Hope you can make it!

SO HOPPY TOGETHER

Our theme for May is “Cards for Gals.”  One way we can honor the gals we know is to tell them how wonderful they are.  When was the last time someone told you that you are wonderful?  May Stamp Camp gives us the opportunity to tell 4 or more women friends that they are WONDERFUL!

04.24.19 Hoppy 1“Did I ever tell you you’re wonderful?”  I love our hoppy frogs – one complementing his friend who is celebrating by riding a unicycle while juggling bees.  This hoppy card is done in Night of Navy, Call Me Clover and Shaded Spruce. The frogs, dragonfly, bike and bees are colored with Stampin’ Blends.  A strip of Happiness Blooms DSP adds a bit of interest.  Matching dies allows us to cut our shapes in a jiffy.  Wink of Stella leaves our little characters nice and sparkly.   This card is a wonderful way to compliment a friend.

04.24.19 Hoppy 2Our second Hoppy sample features a few changes.  The Happiness Blooms DSP strip is flipped to the back side.  A yellow lily floats on a Shaded Spruce lily pad.  The gems on the crown and lily are a coral instead of the red rhinestones used on the first sample.  As in the first sample, Stampin’ Dimensionals pop up our frogs, dragonfly and unicycle.  This is such a cheerful card.

At May Stamp Camp, you can color your frogs any color you want.  Although I chose Call Me Clover, perhaps you want another shade of green or even brown.  May Stamp Camp is scheduled for Thursday May 2nd from 12 N – 6 PM, Friday May 3rd from 2 – 6 PM, and Saturday May 4th from 9 AM – 4 PM.  As always, if dates/times don’t work for you, please contact me and we can schedule an alternate time.  Judy C had the pleasure of a re-schedule earlier this month and enjoyed sitting in the craft studio with me as she made her cards.  I provide all tools and materials needed to complete your chosen cards and the fridge always is full of soda pop and water.

As a reminder, the SU Retired Products List is out and can be found at Last Chance Stampin’Up Products.  Although products in our current catalogs are valid thru June 3rd, when supplies of these retiring products run out, they will not be replenished.  So, if there is something you want now, please order it.  On a sad note, “Lovely as a Tree” stamp set is retiring.  This is the oldest stamp set and has been available the full 15 years that I have been a SU Demonstrator.  I would suggest you start checking the SU Clearance Rack starting May 7th.  When new discounted items are added to the Clearance Rack, these items appear on a Tuesday.  As we approach the June 3 retirement date, retiring items in heavy supply may appear on the Clearance Rack which can be accessed here at Clearance Rack.

I’m looking forward to seeing you at May Stamp Camp.  It’s helpful if you let me know which day you are coming and which cards you wish to do.  The cost is $14 for any 4 cards and $3 for each card thereafter.
