BIKE RIDE

Bicycle Happy Day plus dog 2Bike Ride is a fun summery card – especially as our bike riding days will be over for the year in a couple months.  Debbie designed this card in Lovely Lipstick and Smoky Slate.  The brick wall is embossed with the new 3D Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.  The “wall” is them sponged lightly with a sponge dauber and Smoky Slate ink.  Sponging brings out the 3D effect.  The bike has been precut for you with the Stamp N’Cut and the other images have matching dies. This sample shows a dog perched happily in a basket at the rear of the black bicycle.  A hanging sentiment sign and basket of flowers, butterflies, and frosted enamel dots finish the summery scene.

Bicycle Life's a journey apples 2Our second sample features a Lovely Lipstick bike and a bushel of apples perched in the bicycle basket. The sentiment reads “Life’s a Journey” which is so very true.  The small “Hello” stamp would also fit on this small sign. The cheery basket of flowers is from the At Home with You stamp set.  You can design and color your card images however you wish.  The full set of Stampin’ Blends will be available for you.

This is our final card for September Stamp Camp.  We’ve seen Snowmen, cows, daisies and now a bicycle.  I hope you can make it to our Stamp Camp – it’s a great time to come, relax, create, and laugh.  September Stamp Camp will be on September 5, 6 and 7 from 12N – 6 PM on the 5th, from 2 – 6PM on the 6th and from 9AM – 4 PM on the 7th.  Come when it is convenient for you.  Let me know which cards you wish to make and I will have your kit ready for you.  The price remains $14 for any 4 cards and $3 for each additional card.

If you did not receive a Holiday Catalog, let me know and I will send one your way. For the month of September, I am offering a 20% personal discount on all Stampin’Up products. Holiday Catalog orders can be placed effective September 3rd and annual catalog items can be ordered now.  September is the time to replenish your stamping supplies and purchase some of the beautiful items shown in the 2019-2020 and holiday catalogs.  The card kits – both holiday and everyday – make great birthday and Christmas gifts for friends and family that like to make gifts from the heart.

DAISY LANE

The daisy is one of my favorite flowers.  I always look forward to seeing the white and yellow flowers pop up in the spring.  A trivia fact about the Marguerite Daisy is that when picked, it will continue to grow upwards in water.  If you pick up a bunch in the grocery store or floral shop, you will see them continue to flourish in water.

Daisy Lane thoughtsThe daisy we are using in Daisy Lane is from the new Daisy Lane bundle.  We’ve worked with Daisy Delight in the past but Daisy Lane has a visual texture I love PLUS it has a smaller daisy image and the bundle includes the small daisy punch.  As fall is fast approaching, I chose to make this card in a “fallish” color – Calypso Coral which pops on the Basic Black card.  The calypso layer is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder to give the look of linen.  The retired Butterfly Botanical DSP is colored with light and dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends, and adhered on a white and a black mat. I stamped the daisy in this sample with the new Terra Cotta Tile which has a bit more brown.  3 daisies were stamped, punched, and adhered.  Note the beautiful sparkly center.  This is an iced rhinestone colored black with the dark black Stampin’ Blends.

  • Daisy Lane love

The sample to the right features an iced rhinestone with only the center portion colored black.  This sample was stamped in Calypso Coral which is lighter than the Terra Cotta Tile used above.  An assortment of punched foliage is adhered to the back of the daisy as well as a stem of black berries; Wink of Stella is applied before adhering to the flower to give a sparkly appearance. The sentiments are from the Climbing Roses Stamp Set  and are stamped in black and framed with a matching, but slightly larger black frame.  Finally, 2 additional butterflies are colored, punched and popped up on the card front with Dimensionals.

Daisy Lane msg stamped        Daisy Lane msg flower

My message layers are totally different.  The layer to the left features a stamped daisy and stem.  I had a slight overlap of stem to flower and used a colored butterfly from the DSP to hide my booboo.  The layer to the right is embellished with a stamped and punched small daisy, single piece of foliage and a butterfly.  You can choose to embellish your message layer however you wish.

We’ve now seen 3 of our 4 projects for September Stamp Camp.  Bike ride is next and will be posted shortly.  Don’t forget the 20% off Stampin’Up personal discount I am offering for the month of September.  This is a great time to purchase items from both the holiday and annual catalogs.

Looking forward to seeing you on September 5, 6 and 7 from 12N – 6 PM on the 5th, from 2 – 6PM on the 6th and from 9AM – 4 PM on the 7th.  Come when it is convenient for you.  Let me know which cards you wish to make and I will have your kit ready for you.  The price remains $14 for any 4 cards and $3 for each additional card.

OVER THE MOON

Cow Cow's it goingSo…Cow’s it going with you today?  Fine, I hope.  Over the Moon is a fun stamp set and perfect for birthdays, thinking of you or just because you want to sent a card.  The 2 cards Debbie designed are not only cute, they are very simple to make.  Deb took advantage of our stash of retired DSP using 2 totally different patterns that mesh perfectly.  The larger piece of DSP is from the Botanical Butterfly suite that was part of the first quarter Sale-A-Brations promotion.  The smaller DSP is from the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper – one of my favorites.  There are 3 cow images in the Over the Moon and Deb chose 2 to feature on the front of her cards.

Cow Dream BigThe second sample features our cow celebrating with a flower and big smile.  The cow images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black (my go-to black ink) and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  The stamped images are die cut and layered on a popped-up die cut Highland Heather scalloped circle. A small Highland Heather or lavender bow embellishes the card as does a bit of Wink of Stella.  How did we ever exist without Wink of Stella?  The sentiments are die cut with a small stitched rectangle die and popped up on Dimensionals.

So far I’ve posted snowmen and cows for September Stamp Camp – what’s next?  September Stamp Camp is from 12N-6PM on Thursday September 5th, from 2-6PM on Friday September 6 and from 9AM-4PM on Saturday September 7th.  I hope you can join us for a fun time!  All supplies and tools are provided as well as water, soda pop and a snack.  The cost remains $14 for any 4 cards and $3 for additional cards.  Just let me know what day you are coming and which cards you wish to make and I will have your kit all ready for your creativity.  And don’t forget – 20% off all Stampin’Up products for the month of September – a promotion I am offering.  You can order Holiday Catalog items and products from the annual catalog.

Remember, a card made with your hands is a card from the heart and shows you really care.

FROLICKING SNOWMEN

Snowmen Red cardEven though it is 85 degrees outside, the snow will be here before we know it!  These two snowmen from the Snowman Season Stamp Set are happy to be frolicking about.  The background features the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper (DSP) and we will be using two of the patterns.  The snow hat DSP seen here has lots of glitter.  The snowman on the left is stamped and punched out with the Snowman Builder Punch which punches out the actual snowman, the hat and the arms.  The snowman on the left is stamped and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  I restamped the second snowman and fussy cut his scarf, colored it and adhered it to the punched little guy.  The hat is embellished with 3 red rhinestones.

SnowballsThis image depicts the actual snowballs the snowman is juggling about.  Stampin’Up has Snowfall Accents Puff Paint in the new Holiday Catalog.  You simply add a small drop of paint, apply heat with your heat tool and PRESTO! the snowballs grow in size and puff up.  I did find out that if your drop of paint is a little to big, you end up with a BIG snowball!  If you push down on the snowball, it puffs right back up!

Snowmen Green CardThe other Let it Snow DSP is shown on the image to the left.  Same idea as the previous sample but the art piece is shifted to the left side of the card.  The punched snowman here is embellished with tiny red glimmer circles on his hat and buttons.  The sentiment is from the new Word Wishes Dies (page 197 in annual catalog).  This die set contains MERRY, HAPPY, DAY and all the holidays.

Snowmen Red card msg layerThe third snowman from the Snowman Season set is stamped on the message layer.  I added snowballs, colored the nose and buttons and fussy cut a hat from the DSP to add a bit of color.  These are fun cards and perfect for the holiday season and the snowy days ahead.

I can’t imagine it is almost September BUT it is.  September Stamp Camp will be held on September 5, 6 and 7 from 12N – 6 PM on the 5th, from 2 – 6PM on the 6th and from 9AM – 4 PM on the 7th.  Come when it is convenient for you.  Let me know which cards you wish to make and I will have your kit ready for you.  The price remains $14 for any 4 cards and $3 for each additional card.

You should have your holiday catalog by now.  If not, let me know and I will send one your way. For the month of September, I am offering a 20% discount on all Stampin’Up products. Holiday Catalog orders can be placed effective September 3rd and annual catalog items can be ordered now.  September is the time to replenish your card stock, order some of beautiful new DSP, and try the new Stampin’ Blends colors.  I absolutely adore the new Rococo Rose markers.  The Stampin’ Blends are the best markers I have used and truly blend.

Posts for our other 3 September Stamp Camp cards will follow.  Don’t forget to check back.  Remember, a handmade card comes from the heart.
