WELCOME EASTER

03.24.20 Welcome Easter LambI think the little animals in the “Welcome Easter” stamp set are so cute.  I plan on sending out quite a few of these as they tend to make the recipient smile – something we all can use.  Gingham and plaid papers are perfect for these cuties.

03.24.20 Welcome Easter BunnyThe little animals are stamped in black and lightly colored with Stampin’ Blends.  Some tufts of grass and flowers with colored pearls are added.  Butterflies and an occasional bee are flying around.  The scalloped square art work is layered on coordinating cs and adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

03.24.20 Welcome Easter ChickAlthough the sentiment for this chick card is for a birthday, the Easter sentiment would be perfect also.  Note how each card has a small coordinating bow at the top to the left of the sentiment.  5 colored pearls were used on each card – 3 in the center of the flowers and 2 on the card itself. A dot of glue was used in the center of each flower to insure the pearls would stay in place.  Garden Green leaves were cut from the leaf stem in the Ladybug Dies.

03.24.20 Welcome Easter Easter msgThe message layer will feature the coordinating card stock from the front layer, a strip of the gingham or plaid and a small tulip at the bottom of the layer.  The message shown at the left is available to be used.

03.24.20 Welcome Easter T of YOr the message layer can simply say “Thinking of You.”  This is a difficult time in our lives to know exactly what to say.  A stamped message is not even necessary and you can jot down a few words from your heart.  Just let me know how you want your message layer to read.

So we’ve seen 4 Easter cards – Easter Promise and Welcome Easter.  I will be sending out an E-mail explaining how we will handle the April Non-Stamp Camp.

But first – if you choose to pick up any 4 cards, I will include at no extra charge, 2 of my Meerkat Social Distancing cards:

03.24.20 Social Distancing Meerkats

This is my attempt at a bit of humor as we live with social distancing and shelter in place. There is no message, simply the sentiment “thinking of you.”  the 6’ is die cut and I did add a bit of Wink of Stella.  This card could be made using any animal or even 2 hearts but I thought the Meerkat version was cute.  So 2 of these will be yours if you order April Non-Stamp Camp cards.

EASTER 2020

Hi Crafters!  As you shelter in place, I wanted to show you several Easter cards you can pick up outside my front door and let you know about the third and last Sale-A-Brations release. We will not be having Stamp Camp, but we can still craft!

We will Start with Easter Promise in this Blog Post.03.24.20 Easter Promise front

Easter Promise is springy Daffodil Delight crocus waving happily on a Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow card,  This is a Joy Fold Card.  I believe the Joy Fold came from Marie Kondo and the KonMarie folding method of shirts.

03.24.20 Easter Promise openingThe card is actually a card inside a card.  Can you see in the view to the left that the Daffodil Delight card is starting to open?  What is different is that the inner card opens to the left – not the right as we normally see.

To ease the process of adhering the die-cut sentiment wording, Sizzix Adhesive is layered on the underside.

03.24.20 Easter Promise openThis is the card fully open.  Note the fluttering crocus that match the crocus on the envelope.  Instead of a message, I chose to die-cut a 2-color cross.  An alternate message layer is shown below.  Although very faint, both white layers are sponged with Pear Pizzazz

03.24.20 Easter Promise Alternate Message layerIf preferred, this message can be stamped in place of the 2-color die-cut cross shown above.  This

This is a very uplifting card and the Joy Fold makes it different.  I do have Daffodil Delight twine that I discovered that I prefer over the thin Mossy Meadow twine bow.

Sale-A-Brations ends March 31, 2020.  As a reminder, any SU purchase of $50 or over qualifies you for a Sale-A-Brations item. The 3rd release of items started today.  Click here to see all the items available Sale-A-Brations 2020
