RED CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA

08.26.20 Red Poinsettia and envDoes this say CHRISTMAS to you?  Poinsettias are a must in my holiday decorating and have always been a favorite.  The Red Velvet cs used for the poinsettia is a dream to craft with.  The background Plush Poinsettia paper is fun to work with.

The green leaves, red satin ribbon, silver accents and beautiful beaded pearl centers embellish the poinsettia perfectly.  Christmas joy is die cut and adheres easily with a few dabs of liquid adhesive.  The silver metallic accents are die cut from my small collection of assorted branch dies.

08.26.20 Red Poinsettia msg layer closeI think these small poinsettias are perfect for the message layer of the card.  I adhered 2 together and added the yellow center with Stickles.  I’m embarrassed to say how old this tube of stickles is, but it still works perfectly.  I’ve used yellow Stickles as the actual flower of the poinsettia is the yellow center.  The red petals are bracts.

The Red Christmas Poinsettia is one of the cards being offered at September Stamp Camp – September 3rd from 10am to 4 pm, September 4th from 10am to 4pm, and September 5th from 9am to 4pm.  Masks are required as is frequent hand washing.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate so that breaks and eating can be done outside.  If we encounter rain, the garage may become our break room.  I am still limiting the number of attendees – especially with the increased Covid-19 infection rate in Will County.  Following Governor Pritzker’s rules, our stamp camp will not allow party buses, our gaming tables will be closed at 11pm, and room capacity will be limited to 25%.

There is a minor change to pricing for September Stamp Camp.  The cost remains $14 for any 4 cards but additional poinsettia cards will be $3.50 each.  Additional Sunflower Shakers or So Much Happy will remain $3.00.

As always, I ask for as much advance notice as possible to insure I have the quantity of cards ready when you come.  Stay tuned for the next blog post.
