Tags and More – the END!

Lip Gloss stand 2This stocking stuffer is our final project for the Dec 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp.  I’ve used the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, cutting the the largest and smallest from Designer Series paper and the middle butterfly from Red Riding Hood cs.  I adhered the 3 butterflies together, punched two holes through them, and tied on the Avon lip moisturizer with ribbon fed through the holes.  A few added pearls give a simple touch of elegance to this little gift.  We will use assorted Designer Series papers for the butterflies, and my goal is to have the butterflies pre-cut for you.

WOW!  I just counted up the number of projects we will be making at the Dec 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp – 15.  What a bargain for $12.00!!!!

As a reminder –  Friday December 3rd – we will be set up by 2 p.m. if you want to come early!   I’m thinking we will have tuna fish sandwiches Friday evening to keep us nourished!      Saturday December 4th – 9 a.m. until ????  No tuna fish, but I’m sure there will be something sweet to go with morning coffee.  Contact me if you have questions – 630-759-3089 or www.paperrose01@aol.com    See you then!

and…the final Cash/Check/Gift Card Holder

IMG_1480I came up with this idea from an example in a brochure distributed by Michael’s – but I changed the size and method of construction.  This is actually a card with a pocket to hold cash/checks/gift cards.  I used designer series paper from a previous year as well as some retired Ruby Red card stock.  The result is traditional Christmas colors that are upbeat and cheerful.  This card holder can be embellished many different ways and is one of the projects we will be making at the December 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp.

The view below shows the pocket inside the card that holds the monetary gift or gift card.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the FINAL stamp camp project!

…and More

IMG_1466Here we have another cute cash/check/gift card holder that can be used any time during the year, but is especially nice for Christmas.  This is a Sizzix die I picked up last year 50% off.  I am able to use my 8 1/2 X 11” card stock which I like.  The die forms a small pocket which holds the cash/gift card.  The holder can be embellished with stamped or punched images as I have done above, or the images could be stamped directly on the card stock.  This is another project we will be making at the December 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp.  One more cash/check/gift card holder will be posted tomorrow.  See you then!

holiday tags…AND MORE!

Gift card envelopes 3

What’s next for our Dec 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp?  How about some cute holders for cash/checks/gift cards?  Years ago, before I became a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, I would go to Archivers every year and use one of their dies to make gift holders.  It is much more fun to be able to design my own.  This first gift card holder is adapted from the Stampin’ Up Scallop Envelope Bigz die.  This may look similar to the scallop envelope tags we saw several days ago, but these envelopes are actually longer to accommodate the gift cards.  These are quite easy to make and I will demonstrate how we adapt the placement of the paper to increase the envelope size.  As you can see, I have embellished several of my samples, but I think they are cute even without any embellishment.  I have a large assortment of 6” double sided paper for  you to choose from when you create your own holder.

Check in tomorrow for another cash/check/gift card holder idea!

Snow Globe Holiday Tag

Snow Globe Tag 1AASweet Snowglobe is the final holiday tag we will be making at the Dec 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp.  I decided on shades of blue as my color scheme with Garden Green trees and a Red Riding Hood house.  I adhered “snow” to the sky, tree, house and ground before adding extra “snow” to the globe.  Wouldn’t you love to finish off a special gift by adding this tag?

What’s next?  Check in tomorrow for money/check/gift card holders for the holidays!

Holiday Milk Carton

IMG_1450The Stampin’ Up Milk Carton die makes an adorable container for candies and other little gifts.  This box can be used any time during the year, but is especially cute for Christmas.  I textured this carton with a texturz plate as an embossing folder would have taken out the score lines from the die.  The bird and border were punches from a scrap piece of Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper.  Although the top of the box could have been partly closed with an open spout, I preferred to simply close the top with a library clip.  This will allow the recipient to reuse the box.  Although it is not viewable, there is a “to from” tag hanging from the side of the carton.

IMG_1454These are the 3 holiday milk cartons I made today.  Each features a library clip closure in a different color.  The “dec. 25” carton has striped paper in olive, red and vanilla decorating the sides and a dainty little bow on the top.  We will be making these cute cartons at our Dec 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp.  This will be an “embellish as you wish” project.  Don’t forget to let me know if you’re coming.  Check in tomorrow for another Stamp Camp idea.

Another Holiday Gift Tag Idea

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and celebrated the day with your loved ones.  I was NOT one of those who attacked Black Friday although I did do a big of shopping on Amazon.com.

IMG_1461

The Scallop Envelope die is absolutely perfect for gift tags for any occasion.  They  finished product is elegant but fast and simple to make.  The envelope can be left open with the message peeking out and showing off the designer series paper.  This is another one of the tags we will be making at the December 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp.   Are you planning on attending?  If so, contact me a call at 630-759-3089 or paperrose01@aol.com.  Watch for another stamp camp project tomorrow!

And even MORE tags

Candycane tag 2A Gift tags don’t have to be fancy – a bit of card stock, a small piece of ribbon or cording,  and maybe some designer paper and you are set!!!  Here we see samples done simply in red and white.  It’s time for you to show your creativity!

IMG_1385Gift tags don’t have to be big!  This small tag uses the 1 3/8” scallop square and  1 1/4” square punches.  A small holiday image and some twine finishes off this tag which is perfect for a small holiday gift!  This tag takes a mere 2 minutes to create but is a small gift from the heart.  How about 10 of these placed in a cellophane bag and tied with a cheery bow – a great gift for a friend.  You could do this same tag with the scallop circle and circle punches!

IMG_1387             snowflake tag open

Holiday gift tags don’t have to be in traditional Christmas colors.  This playful pink tag is edged in red marker and decorated with lacy snowflakes highlighted with rhinestones.

The gift tags above are 4 more of the projects we will be making at the December 3rd and 4th Tags and More Stamp Camp.  More projects to come…. Don’t forget to let me know if you will be coming.  So far we have 4 folks for Friday and 2 for Saturday.  Plenty of space remains!!!!

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.  I am not cooking as hubby is treating the family to dinner at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.  I will enjoy this immensely as I AM NOT DOING THE COOKING!!!

More Christmas Tags???

Snowman tag 2

I love this darling Snowman tag!  Once again – we use punches for everything including the holly tucked into the brim of the little black hat.  I decided at the last minute to add a bit of blush to the snowman’s cheeks so I rubbed my little finger lightly on the Regal Rose stamp pad and added the color literally by hand (or would that be by finger!)

This is another tag we will be making at our Holiday Tags & More Stamp Camp on December 3rd and 4th.  Stay tune for more tags to come….
