BUTTERFLY NOTE

12.01.22 Butterfly NoteButterfly Note is the final  Stamp Camp card for 2022.  Debbi and I call this the everything card!  This elegant card is perfect for sympathy, birthday, get well, thinking of you, wedding, anniversary and anything else you can think of although I’m sure a child would not enjoy it.  The DSP does all the work for this card!  Blackberry Beauty DSP has been on sale at Stampin’ Up for 1-2 months, but it is now gone!  The card is simply 1” strips of DSP layered on Brass metallic cs and arranged in a stairstep pattern.  A simple sentiment is also layered in brass and a Blackberry Bliss Brilliant Wings Dies butterfly is embellished with 4 Champagne rhinestones and adhered to the card front with glue dots.  There are 6 butterflies to choose from in this set so you can choose the one you like best.

12.01.22 Butterfly Note msg layerThe Very Vanilla message layer features a second butterfly.  The butterfly of your choice can be die cut in Blackberry Bliss or Rich Razzleberry as we see in the embossed top layer of the card front.  Both colors are rich and complement each other.

I can’t stress how simple this card is.  1”X4” strips of DSP layered on 1 1/8” X 4 1/8” strips of a coordinating color.  And butterflies go with any DSP.  The Brilliant Wings Dies are a great set that will never go out of style – #155523 – $44.00 for 17 dies!

And so we end 2022 Stamp Camps!  I hope you can make our December gathering on Thursday, Friday and Saturday – December 1, 2, 3 – from 10am to 4pm.  If you have a conflict, please let me know and we can schedule an alternate time.  If you need Cards to Go, we can do that.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know when you are coming, what cards you wish – as soon as possible.  With Thanksgiving in the middle of this coming week, we lose several days of cutting time.

The first 2023 Stamp Camp will be February 2, 3 and 4 and I have some fun ideas planned.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate or we will be doing Cards to Go for everyone.

Warm Winter Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving, Rosemary – H(630.759.3089 – C(630.965.1965 – paperrose01@aol.com

COFFEE? CHOCOLATE? COCKTAILS?

Do you have a favorite?  Cocktails?  Chocolate?  Coffee?  I happen to be a chocolate and coffee person but not so much for cocktails.  Now my brother-in-law loves his cocktails, so his birthday card was the cocktail version.  My sister doesn’t do coffee or cocktails – but she adores her chocolate, so the chocolate version is for her!

12.01.22-Awesome-Coffee_thumb126Coffee, Coffee Coffee!  How many of you start your day (or end it) with a steaming cup of coffee.  The Nothing’s Better Than Bundle features the favorites of coffee, cookies, chocolate and cocktails.  we see the coffee version here.  The Petal Pink DSP is from the retired Magnolia Lane.  The left Petal Pink strip is embossed with the Wrapped in Texture 3-D  embossing folder.  The coffee cups can be stamped in any dark color but I think Early Espresso or Memento Tuxedo Black inks look best.  Although there is a stamp to both fill the coffee cup and color the saucer, I find it more fun to use Stampin’ Blends to color different shades of coffee, and different colors for each saucer.

12.01.22-Awesome-Cocktails_thumb137

The cocktail glasses are so cute.  The stamp that fills the glasses has ice cubes!!!!!  Cocktails can be so many colors.  The lemons, of course, have been colored yellow with Stampin’ Blends.  The small cocktail umbrella can be colored any way you like.  Some are even pre-colored for you.  I loved coloring the umbrellas with 3 different hues.  The 3-layer sentiment allows for the featured image to be die cut in Tahitian Tide and adhered flat to the sentiment.  Like the coffee sample above, all other images are adhered with dimensionals.

12.01.22-Awesome-Chocolate-1_thumb86Now for my favorite – CHOCOLATE!!!!!  The chocolates are colored with Stampin’ Blends although there will be some uncolored ones available for you to color as you wish.  Different shades of Stampin’ Blends brown are used to give each trio a different look.  The fifth cluster is cut to fit on the sentiment layer.  In my archives, I pulled my ancient metal dots and adhered them to the sentiment layers – BUT I just noticed I missed the Cocktail card!  The dots can be colored if you wish but I like the grays and neutrals.

12.01.22-Awesome-Chocolate-msg-layerThe message layer for each card features a 4 X 1/2” strip of Magnolia Lane DSP and an image that matches your theme – a coffee cup, chocolate cluster, or cocktail.  This is a fun card and nice to have in your library for that special person.  Although the stamps and dies are no longer available as a bundle, they are available singly.  The stamp set – Nothing’s Better Than is #158295 – $22.00.  The Love You More Dies are $30 – #152698.

Stay tuned for THE FINAL 2022 CARD.

2023

As this year ends, its time to think about 2023.  Our handmade calendars make wonderful holiday gifts and are perfect as as hostess thank you.  And a calendar only costs $3.00-$3.50.  What a bargain plus, it is handmade and comes from the heart. .We have card stock cut for the following samples.  However, you are welcome to choose other DSP and card stock combinations.

12.01.22 calendar mosaicThis sample features retired mosaic DSP along with Soft Suede and Mint Macaroon.  The numbers 2023 have been brushed with Wink of Stella and they provide a bit of glimmer.

Basic white cs layers and envelopes are provided.  Stamped and hand written messages on the white cs are adhered to the back of the calendar.  And they fit perfectly in our A2 envelopes.

12.01.22 Calendar birds

Our second sample  features Blackberry Beauty DSP with Cinnamon Cider and Blackberry Bliss card stock.  These easel calendars hold up extremely well. I have several that are 5-years old.  I adhere new calendars every year over the old ones, and change the last digit of the year or use some other image as decoration.

12.01.22 Calendar bees

Our gold and black bumble bee calendar is a take-off of the calendars we donated to 2 girl scout troops.  The girls are making the calendars as gifts for their parents.  The frame for the calendar is actually gold glimmer paper.  The numbers are cut from the Scan’n’Cut and show up well.

12.01.22 Calendar turquoise glitterOur final sample is a cyan triad of Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party DSP.  Wink of Stella was brushed around the edges of the Basic Black calendar frame.  The sparkly numbers provide the perfect added touch for this 2023 tribute.

Other cs and DSP choices will be available for your choosing.  We have a gorgeous black/white/gray pattern that would be a perfect masculine calendar.

Our next card is for the person who cherishes their coffee, chocolates or cocktails.

Please please let us know what your selections will be for December Stamp Camp.  With Thanksgiving upon us, Debbi and I are working diligently at cutting card stock and DSP.

Warm Blessings, Rosemary – H(630.759.3089) – C(630.965.1965) – paperrose01@aol.com

CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS

12.01.22 Christmas Blessings12.01.22 Christmas Blessings msg layerChristmas Blessings is our final Stamp Camp Christmas card for 2022.  Once again, we see the Aspen Trees Dies but this time, in white.  A snowy Night of Navy background comes about with white embossed snowflakes and stars – a good time to practice your wet embossing skills.  3 red cardinals are perched jauntily on tree limbs.  A simple sentiment is layered on Night of Navy cardstock and festooned with a real red cotton bow.  This is a cheery classic Christmas card.

Our message layer is ready for you to stamp the holiday greeting of your choice.  Make sure to check out the Christmas messages as several new sets recently appeared.  3 red birds provide a festive touch.

Our final 2022 Stamp Camp will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 1, 2, and 3 from 10am – 4pm.  Our first 2023 Stamp Camp will be February 2, 3 and 4.  The new Occasions Catalog and Spring Sale-A-Brations mini catalog will be coming out in December and will be available for ordering effective January 5, 2023.

Stay tuned for some calendar samples available at the December Stamp Camp.  These make great holiday gifts.

THANKSGIVING GNOMES

11.01.22 Thankful gnomes dotsThanksgiving Gnomes is a cute Thanksgiving card with a bit of wobble. The colorful gnomes and background die come from Divinity Designs.  The single die for the gnomes is laid out to match the printed layout of the gnomes, balloons, leaves, pumpkin, etc.  One die cuts all the images.  There are 5 different Thanksgiving Gnomes.  My samples include 3 gnomes on the front layer and leftover images on the message layer.  There are many different backgrounds to choose from.  Dots are used here but you can choose the background of your choice.

11.01.22 Thankful gnomes ginghamThe second sample features a butterscotch and white gingham background.  The bottom left gnome is on a wobble but 2 gnomes or even all of them could be placed on wobbles.  The left gnome with the balloons is on dimensionals as is the pumpkin and acorn.  Leaves are adhered throughout the card on the open tiles formed from the background scalloped tile die.

11.01.22 Thankful gnomes plaidAll the samples are Mossy Meadow layered with white, DSP of your choice, and the Merry Merlot scallop tile frame.  The final sample features a plaid background.  We attempted to rotate the gnomes to assist you in your layout.  Every card will be a little different.  Rhinestones embellish the top knob of each gnome hat.  Wink of Stella enhances the noses, leaves and other images on the card.

11.01.22 Thankful Gnomes msg layerAs mentioned previously, leftover images can be used on the message layer.  Although there were 2 gnomes not used on the front layer, we chose to use just one on the message layer along with a single leaf that did not have a home elsewhere.

One of our many Thanksgiving messages or even birthday or Thinking of you would be perfect for this cute card.

This is our final November Stamp Camp card.  Please let us know as soon as possible what cards you would like to do and what day you plan on attending or if you will need Cards-to-Go.  Debbie is coming tomorrow to help cut card stock and die-cut which is a big help to me.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Blessings, Rosemary – H(630.759.3089 – C(630.965.1965 – paperrose01@aol.com

THANKSGIVING WISHES

Thanksgiving Wishes top layerWe have done several joy folds, but I especially like this one.  Andrea found a beautiful card using the joy diagonal fold and shared it with me.  Although I did not have the DSP used in the shared card, I fell in love with the technique.  This card features the Hello Harvest Bundle and the Rustic Harvest DSP we used last month.  The top layer pumpkin and flowers have been colored and hopefully die-cut for you.  because of the girth of the pumpkin, we chose to use 2 flower bouquets and overlap them.  The base of the card is Mossy Meadow with Cajun Craze accents.

11.01.22 Thanksgiving Wishes 1 flap openWhen the front layer is lifted, we can see the Rustic Harvest pumpkin DSP The triangular piece is Mossy Meadow layered with Cajun Craze and the DSP.  Note the Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze leaves stamped on the envelope. These colors are repeated throughout the design of the card

11.01.22 Thanksgiving Wishes fully openWhen our card is fully opened, we see Rustic Harvest DSP layering the inside panel.  The message panel is embellished with a small sunflower that matches the bouquet on the pumpkin.  Rhinestones enhance the flower bouquets and add a bit of glitz.  Wink of Stella also highlights the pumpkin and flowers.

11.01.22 Thanksgiving Wishes flowers up higherThis second sample shows the floral bouquets located higher on the pumpkin which gives a larger artwork layer.  You can choose where you place your bouquets.  The rhinestones were also used differently in this sample.

The THANKSGIVING sentiment is optional allowing for this card to be used for any fall occasions.

One card left – Thankful Gnomes!

Don’t forget – November Stamp Camp is Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 3, 4, 5 from 10am to 4pm.

Blessings, Rosemary – H(630.759.3089) – C(630.965.1965 – paperrose01@aol.com

SILENT NIGHT

11.01.22 Silent NightI was very hesitant in purchasing this Peace to You stamp set due to the large amount of photopolymer that needed to be inked.  However, Stampin’Up quality has improved tremendously and this image stamped up perfectly although I did choose to ink twice.  Of course, I used my Stamparatus.  The Silent Night sentiment is positioned correctly on the Stamparatus so its a simple ink and stamp both images in one step. A rhinestone accents the single star.  The Stitched Nested Label Dies provide the perfect die-cut shape to enhance the simple beauty of this stamp.  Starry Sky – a new 2022-2024 color – is the perfect shade of blue.  A strip of Starry Sky and a layer of Metallic Edge ribbon provide additional texture and contrast.  Lucky Stars is an ancient Stampin’Up embossing folder in my archives and was perfect for background embossing.  This is a perfect Christmas Card.

11.01.22 Silent Night msg layer

The So Many Stars retired stamp set includes so many stars and I chose this starry stamp for both the message layer and envelope.  We have many Christmas messages for you to choose from.  One of my favorites is with the So Many Stars set and would be perfect for this card:  OH HOLY NIGHT, THE STARS ARE BRIGHTLY SHINING.  The Starry Night ink is as beautiful as the card stock.

Please let us know as soon as possible which cards you would like to do, which day you plan on coming or if you need cards to go.  Debbi is coming to help cut paper on Wednesday and Thursday.

Now let’s look at Joy Fold Thanksgiving card!

Blessings, Rosemary – H(630.759.3089) – C(630.965.1965) – paperrose01@aol.com

ASPEN TREES

Fall is upon us!  We can’t keep up with the leaves on our ramp.  They fall faster than my sweet husband can sweep them up.  But I love the crunch of leaves when walking down the street.  It kind of sounds like walking on Rice Krispies!

11.01.22 Aspen TreesOur fall Aspen Trees card features a technique titled “Color Blocking.”  Color blocking is explained as a technique that involves pairing 2 or more colors together.  In our November Stamp Camp card shown here, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry have been “blocked” together.  The block of colors has been run thru the Big Shot with the Woodland Texture Embossing Folder which carries the wooded theme through to the background.  A lone Early Espresso deer is peeking thru the trees.  The simple sentiment, “For You” is stamped on an aspen leaf and embellished with a tiny Cajun Craze bow.  Debbie designed this beautiful fall card and has tied all the bows!  I’m so happy she is back.

11.01.22 Aspen Trees msg layerThe message layer for Aspen Trees features a single Crushed Curry aspen leaf.  The Aspen Trees Dies provide 2 different aspen leaves. This card would be perfect for Thanksgiving or any fall occasion.  There are lots of message stamps you can choose from.  New ones are added to the library monthly.

In case you are wondering when November Stamp Camp is – Thursday, Friday, Saturday – November 3, 4 and 5 from 10am – 4pm.  You can come anytime during those times.  You can even come all 3 days!  If you are not available to attend, we are happy to provide cards-to-go mailed to you or available for pick up.  As always, all supplies and tools are provided.  All you need to bring is yourself!  Let’s move on to our November Christmas card – Silent Night!

Blessings, Rosemary – H(630.759.3089) – C(630.965.1965) – paperrose01@ao.com

SOFT SEEDLINGS

10.01.22 Soft Seedlings 2Soft Seedlings is a peaceful stamp set – simply a maple leaf and seedlings.  This fall card has a bookbinder fold.  The left panel DSP is a pattern from the Rustic Harvest DSP collection.  These DSP leaves are colored with sponge daubers – a fun technique.  You simply sponge a bit of color on the leaves without worrying about color landing on the black background.  The ink colors used here are Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Bumblebee, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow.  A strip of Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim and matching shoestring bow are adhered to the left side fold.

10.01.22 Soft Seedlings Msg coloredThe message layer features a thin strip of DSP and a stamped fall leaf like the leaf seen on the envelope.  The strip of DSP can be the colored leaf pattern seen here or can be a strip of the opposite side which features the pattern seen on the front layer of the card,  The Maple leaf and seedlings have been colored with a combination of Pumpkin Pie and Flirty Flamingo.  The Brother Scan’n Cut pre-cut all the leaves and seedings.  The sentiment which is part of the Soft Seedlings set has also been stamped and pre-cut with the Scan’n Cut.  I think you will enjoy coloring with the sponge daubers.

This is the final card for October Stamp Camp – October 6, 7, and 8 – Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-4.  Please text or e-mail with your choice of cards and what day works best for you to attend.  Remember that Debbi is not available to assist me.  The earlier you can notify me of your choices, the easier it is for me to complete your kits.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Fall Blessings, Rosemary – (H)630.759.3089 – (C)630.965.1965 – paperrose01@aol.com
