Do you remember this tree from last year? In the Woods dies are absolutely wonderful and this two-layer tree is one of my favorites. The current card is a bit different from the one you saw last week at Christmas in July. The Heirloom Frames Dies and 3D Embossing Folders that were on SU back order miraculously arrived on Monday. This was the frame I had originally planned on using before I discovered it was on backorder. I am still making adjustments to the card, but it will look very very similar to this for August Stamp Camp.
The card and frame are in Marina Mist with Balmy Blue ink. The Swirls and Curls embossing folder provides lots of texture. The two layer tree is die cut from Sparkle Glimmer with the leaflets popped up with mini dimensionals and glue dots. Rhinestones embellish the scene and add more glimmer. Everyone seemed to like the sentiment used on the original card so I used it as the message layer, and added a star and stamped embellishment.
This is our final card for August Stamp Camp – August 1st from 12N to 6 pm, August 2nd from 2 to 4 pm, and August 3rd from 9 am to 4 pm. Please please please let me know which day you are coming and which cards you wish to do.
The Christmas Catalog will be arriving later in August. If you don’t receive yours in the mail, I will have extras for you to pick up at your leisure or at September Stamp Camp. I will be offering a personal 20% product discount in September so it will be a great time to order any regular or holiday products. There are some beautiful suites in this catalog as well as some that are just plain cute. I love the Snowman Builder Punch that allows you to attach the arms going in any direction. There’s also colored jingle bells and gold mini pizza boxes (just the right size for a cookie or 3 X 3 note cards. There are stars, trees, deer, candles, cardinals, an angel, bells, a shepherd with his flock and so much more!
I like this simple card embellished with trees punched from the new Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper. See the little jingle bell attached to the sentiment? This would be an “easy peasy” card to make! Children and grandchildren could choose the DSP and help with placing the trees. This card would show the recipient that you really care about them. And that’s part of Christmas – sharing your caring!
