Thanksgiving Wishes top layerWe have done several joy folds, but I especially like this one.  Andrea found a beautiful card using the joy diagonal fold and shared it with me.  Although I did not have the DSP used in the shared card, I fell in love with the technique.  This card features the Hello Harvest Bundle and the Rustic Harvest DSP we used last month.  The top layer pumpkin and flowers have been colored and hopefully die-cut for you.  because of the girth of the pumpkin, we chose to use 2 flower bouquets and overlap them.  The base of the card is Mossy Meadow with Cajun Craze accents.

11.01.22 Thanksgiving Wishes 1 flap openWhen the front layer is lifted, we can see the Rustic Harvest pumpkin DSP The triangular piece is Mossy Meadow layered with Cajun Craze and the DSP.  Note the Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze leaves stamped on the envelope. These colors are repeated throughout the design of the card

11.01.22 Thanksgiving Wishes fully openWhen our card is fully opened, we see Rustic Harvest DSP layering the inside panel.  The message panel is embellished with a small sunflower that matches the bouquet on the pumpkin.  Rhinestones enhance the flower bouquets and add a bit of glitz.  Wink of Stella also highlights the pumpkin and flowers.

11.01.22 Thanksgiving Wishes flowers up higherThis second sample shows the floral bouquets located higher on the pumpkin which gives a larger artwork layer.  You can choose where you place your bouquets.  The rhinestones were also used differently in this sample.

The THANKSGIVING sentiment is optional allowing for this card to be used for any fall occasions.

One card left – Thankful Gnomes!

Don’t forget – November Stamp Camp is Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 3, 4, 5 from 10am to 4pm.

11.01.22 Silent NightI was very hesitant in purchasing this Peace to You stamp set due to the large amount of photopolymer that needed to be inked.  However, Stampin’Up quality has improved tremendously and this image stamped up perfectly although I did choose to ink twice.  Of course, I used my Stamparatus.  The Silent Night sentiment is positioned correctly on the Stamparatus so its a simple ink and stamp both images in one step. A rhinestone accents the single star.  The Stitched Nested Label Dies provide the perfect die-cut shape to enhance the simple beauty of this stamp.  Starry Sky – a new 2022-2024 color – is the perfect shade of blue.  A strip of Starry Sky and a layer of Metallic Edge ribbon provide additional texture and contrast.  Lucky Stars is an ancient Stampin’Up embossing folder in my archives and was perfect for background embossing.  This is a perfect Christmas Card.

11.01.22 Silent Night msg layer

The So Many Stars retired stamp set includes so many stars and I chose this starry stamp for both the message layer and envelope.  We have many Christmas messages for you to choose from.  One of my favorites is with the So Many Stars set and would be perfect for this card:  OH HOLY NIGHT, THE STARS ARE BRIGHTLY SHINING.  The Starry Night ink is as beautiful as the card stock.

Please let us know as soon as possible which cards you would like to do, which day you plan on coming or if you need cards to go.  Debbi is coming to help cut paper on Wednesday and Thursday.

Now let’s look at Joy Fold Thanksgiving card!

Blessings, Rosemary – H(630.759.3089) – C(630.965.1965) –

Fall is upon us!  We can’t keep up with the leaves on our ramp.  They fall faster than my sweet husband can sweep them up.  But I love the crunch of leaves when walking down the street.  It kind of sounds like walking on Rice Krispies!

11.01.22 Aspen TreesOur fall Aspen Trees card features a technique titled “Color Blocking.”  Color blocking is explained as a technique that involves pairing 2 or more colors together.  In our November Stamp Camp card shown here, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry have been “blocked” together.  The block of colors has been run thru the Big Shot with the Woodland Texture Embossing Folder which carries the wooded theme through to the background.  A lone Early Espresso deer is peeking thru the trees.  The simple sentiment, “For You” is stamped on an aspen leaf and embellished with a tiny Cajun Craze bow.  Debbie designed this beautiful fall card and has tied all the bows!  I’m so happy she is back.

11.01.22 Aspen Trees msg layerThe message layer for Aspen Trees features a single Crushed Curry aspen leaf.  The Aspen Trees Dies provide 2 different aspen leaves. This card would be perfect for Thanksgiving or any fall occasion.  There are lots of message stamps you can choose from.  New ones are added to the library monthly.

In case you are wondering when November Stamp Camp is – Thursday, Friday, Saturday – November 3, 4 and 5 from 10am – 4pm.  You can come anytime during those times.  You can even come all 3 days!  If you are not available to attend, we are happy to provide cards-to-go mailed to you or available for pick up.  As always, all supplies and tools are provided.  All you need to bring is yourself!  Let’s move on to our November Christmas card – Silent Night!

Blessings, Rosemary – H(630.759.3089) – C(630.965.1965) –

10.01.22 Soft Seedlings 2Soft Seedlings is a peaceful stamp set – simply a maple leaf and seedlings.  This fall card has a bookbinder fold.  The left panel DSP is a pattern from the Rustic Harvest DSP collection.  These DSP leaves are colored with sponge daubers – a fun technique.  You simply sponge a bit of color on the leaves without worrying about color landing on the black background.  The ink colors used here are Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Bumblebee, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow.  A strip of Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim and matching shoestring bow are adhered to the left side fold.

10.01.22 Soft Seedlings Msg coloredThe message layer features a thin strip of DSP and a stamped fall leaf like the leaf seen on the envelope.  The strip of DSP can be the colored leaf pattern seen here or can be a strip of the opposite side which features the pattern seen on the front layer of the card,  The Maple leaf and seedlings have been colored with a combination of Pumpkin Pie and Flirty Flamingo.  The Brother Scan’n Cut pre-cut all the leaves and seedings.  The sentiment which is part of the Soft Seedlings set has also been stamped and pre-cut with the Scan’n Cut.  I think you will enjoy coloring with the sponge daubers.

This is the final card for October Stamp Camp – October 6, 7, and 8 – Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-4.  Please text or e-mail with your choice of cards and what day works best for you to attend.  Remember that Debbi is not available to assist me.  The earlier you can notify me of your choices, the easier it is for me to complete your kits.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Fall Blessings, Rosemary – (H)630.759.3089 – (C)630.965.1965 –

10.01.22 Rustic Mum 1This is a 10-minute card!  Why?  Because the DSP does ALL THE WORK!  This Rustic Harvest DSP is the Bomb!  The actual card is Crushed Curry.  A 5 1/4 X 4 piece of DSP is adhered to the card front.  My new best friend – a Divinity Designs A2 Thin Pierced Frame – nicely die cuts a piece of 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 Merry Merlot.  The frame is adhered on the card front and voila – you have a beautiful fall card.  I have die-cut butterflies in white, Merry Merlot and Crushed Curry using the Hero Arts Butterfly Confetti Fancy Die.  5 butterflies with a couple rhinestones finish the card.

10.01.22 Rustic Mum MsgThe message layer features several butterflies matching the ones on the card front.  I have chosen to use 3 but you can use as many as you wish.

A different pattern of the Rustic Harvest DSP is also used in the next card and we will be using another pattern in November.  A single sheet of the DSP used here will give you 8 card fronts.  The pattern appears to be repeated every 8 inches.  And it certainly helps make a very colorful but simple card.

Our last card is also reminiscent of fall!

Blessings, Rosemary – (H) 630.759.3089 –  (C)630.965.1965 –

Christmas BarnI love this old fashioned scene.  It is reminiscent of driving down a country road and seeing a red barn proudly wearing a Christmas wreath.  The card itself is Evening Evergreen with a Real Red embossed front panel. I must admit the red in the picture is a bit brighter than actual Real Red.  The barn is pre-colored for you.  A small sliver of white glitter cs is adhered to the left portion of the roof.  The 2 darker trees are stamped and die-cut.  The Garden Green trees are simply die cut.  The silo and fence also have dies.  I am recommending a double layer on the fence to give it more body.  A self adhesive backing has been applied to the Crumb Cake cs to ease the fence making.  I have added 9 white glimmer snowflakes but you can add as many as you wish.  Wink of Stella adds a glittery snowy finish to the front yard and can be added to the trees and barn windows if desired.

10.01.22 Christmas Barn msgThe message layer matches the envelope – a stamped horse pulling winter-clad passengers.  This is such a fun card!

November Stamp Camp will be held on November 3, 4 and 5, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-4.  December Stamp Camp will be December 1, 2, and 3.  I will have calendars available at December Stamp Camp if you wish to make them.  They make great Christmas Gifts.

We have seen Halloween and Christmas – how about a bit of fall?

Blessings, Rosemary – (H)630.759.3089 – (C)630.965.1965 –

10.01.22 Scary CuteSCARY CUTE isn’t very scary but it sure is cute.  We have goblins walking thru a forest midst many bats.  The SCARY CUTE Bundle gives us the silhouettes and the forest setting.  The goblin silhouettes are pre-cut with the Brother Scan’n Cut.  The artwork forest will be pre-done for you and you can decide which of the 3 larger silhouettes you wish to put in the forest.  You can add a moon and as many bats as you desire.  The BOO! is from my archives – the ancient Boo to You Die Set.

10.01.22 Scary cute msgThe message layer features a smaller silhouette – 1 of 4 pre-cut smaller silhouettes and as many bats as you choose to add.  The Boo!, bats and moon will be waiting for you to die-cut.

Can you believe that FALL IS HERE?????  You can expect to see me wearing a turtleneck for October Stamp Camp.  Actually, I will probably be in turtlenecks until May Stamp Camp 2023!!!!!  October Stamp Camp is scheduled for Thursday-Friday-Saturday, October 6, 7, and 8 from 10am to 4pm all 3 days.  If you have a conflict, please let me know and we can reschedule at a time that works for both of us.  We will be creating 4 cards for October Stamp Camp.  As always, I beg you to please let me know which day you are coming and which cards you choose to make.

Okay, we’ve seen Halloween, let’s move on to Christmas!

Lots of SWEET for September – SWEET Candy Canes and now SWEET Strawberries

090122 Strawberry redSweet sweet strawberries – and this is the season!  Our sweet strawberry card comes from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set and the Strawberry Builder punch.  I love the crisp Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green and white color scheme.  Once again, the scallop contour dies are used.  The Bright’s 6X6 DSP provides an appealing background pattern.  The strawberries are stamped red on red with a matching DSP calyx.  Several red rhinestones, a poppy butterfly and a DSP flower embellish the card.

090122 Strawberry whiteCrafters attending in person will have the opportunity to do the strawberries as shown above (red on red) or as shown in the sample to the right (red on white).  When working with the white cs, the base strawberry requires inking and stamping  twice, and inking and stamping the seeds once.  This strawberry requires a bit more work.  The Strawberry Builder punch gives an excellent, crisp punch.  This is an easy, fun card to make.

090122 Strawberry red msg layerThe message layer features the second largest of the scallop contour die.  Nestled in the corner, we find another sweet strawberry – red on red for cards to go and open choice for stamp camp attendees.

Aren’t the offerings for September Stamp Camp interesting?  Calming, Cute and Sweet – a nice assortment.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know what cards you choose to make.  We need adequate time to prep the necessary items.  And also let us know which day or days you plan to attend.  September 1, 2, 3 from 10am – 4pm.

Blessings, Rosemary – (H)630.759.3089 – (C)630.965.1965 –

090122 Plants DSP 1The Plentiful Plants stamp set makes such a calming card!  This card is perfect for absolutely any occasion.  The interest with the paper lattice, the macrame plant hanger, the rustic pots, even the plants themselves is phenomenal.  The String of Pearls is such an unusual plant.  Mossy Meadow was the green Designer Andrea chose for this card.  Early Espresso and Crumb Cake round out the color scheme.

090122 Plants DSP 2

We have 2 patterns of retired Garden Lane green DSP we are using. The Banners Pick A Punch give us the perfect banner ends for the sentiment.  Wink of Stella allows us to highlight the greenery and pots as desired.  We have 2 patterns of retired Garden Lane green DSP we are using.  The paper lattice has been trimmed with the remaining piece used on the message layer.  The chocolate twine was an Amazon purchase and is perfect with the plant hanger.

090122 Plants msg layerAs noted above, the message layer features the remaining paper lattice embellishing a strip of DSP.  Another rustic pot and plant finish the layer.

As Debbie is in the process of moving, and not able to assist as much, we are asking your assistance in stamping and die-cutting your plants and pots.

As a reminder, September Stamp Camp is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, September 1, 2 and 3 from 10am – 4pm.  You can mark your calendars now for October Stamp Camp – October 6, 7 and 8 from 10am – 4pm.

Our last card for September Stamp is sweet – just like the Sweet Candy Canes.

Blessings, Rosemary – (H)630.759.3089 – (C)630.965.1965 –

090122 Gnome 1Gnomes are so cute and remain quite popular.  The Stampin’ Up Kindest Gnomes set can be used for everyday and for Christmas – especially when combined with the Storybook Gnomes DSP which has several darling Christmas themes.  I used my new Split Textures Dies for this card.  I love the way the openings captivate your attention – especially with the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP background.  The Pool Party top layer has also been run thru the Big Shot with the Tasteful Textures Embossing folder leaving lots of interesting texture.

090122 Gnome 2The Gnomes and Mushroom Huts are part of the Storybook Gnomes DSP and have been die cut and adhered to the card front.  The gnomes and mushroom huts vary in color.    The Call Me Clover grass and flower image come from the Gnomes Dies.  The top flower is colored with Mango Melody Stampin Blends, and the flower to the right with Flirty Flamingo – colors found in the DSP.  Wink of Stella has been applied judiciously to add a bit of bling.  The sentiment is from the Framed Occasions Sentiments stamp set and was stamped in Mango Melody.  The sentiment was die cut with Beautiful Shapes Dies as was the Mango Melody frame.

090122 Gnome message plainThe message layer features a strip of the matching DSP and a stamped Gnome.  Like the Gnome on the envelope, a few strokes from some Stampin’ Blends, and you can have some colorful fellows!

Sale-A-Brations continues thru the end of August.  Check it out here – Sale-A-Brations
