I love fall – except of course for the temperature change. But the beauty of the changing colors we see in the forest preserves – rusts, oranges, bright yellows, deep burgundy – those colors are magical. The Rustic Crate was a set I fell in love with in the fall Stampin’ Up mini catalogue. Filling the rustic crate with fall pumpkins, sunflowers and corn stalks is so very appropriate at this time of year. To add height and dimension, I split the colored image into 2 images.
The card above shows a sunflower at the top of the filled crate. The card to the right has extra corn stalks at the top of the filled crate. Using the extra half of the image adds so much more interest to the design.
This card is a Cajun Craze Z=-fold with the DSP layered on Pumpkin Pie. Soft Sea Foam on the back panel provides contrast. It’s actually a card within a card.
As the Z-fold opens, more of the beautiful DSP appears. For some reason the 2 side panels matched which was unexpected and rarely occurs.
When the card opens completely, you see the message layer – perfect for a short Thanksgiving note. I think this is such a cute card and so appropriate for the Thanksgiving season.
Wait ’til you see the next card – a brand new fun fold!
