AUTUMN PUMPKIN TRUCK

09.25.23 Cajun Craze TruckI really wanted to design a fall truck card. I had a card style in mind, but my truck was too large!  I knew the old Loads of Love wood stamp set was in my library as a crafter had recently gifted it to me. So, I took the stamps I wanted to use, popped them in the microwave for about 10 seconds, removed the rubber backing and replaced it with cling backing.  This allowed me to use the Stamparatus to guarantee accurate pumpkin stamping on the back of the truck.  In the old days before the Stamparatus, we used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for accurate placement.

This sample features a Cajun Craze older truck that shows some wear and tear provided by the color lifter.  Wink of stella adds shine to the pumpkins, tires, and other areas of the little truck.  The sentiment is embellished with a button, 2 pieces of angled Early Espresso ribbon, and orange Baker’s twine tied in a shoestring bow. There is an assortment of buttons to choose from but if you have a favorite you would like to use, bring it with you.

09.25.23 Green TruckThe green truck on the second sample has some rust due to the truck’s age but it still carries pumpkins to market with pride.  Your truck can be any color you choose.  I tried a black truck but had trouble “aging” it.  A brown truck would be perfect as would any of the orange or green colors.  The choice is up to you. Feel free to experiment!  The rust on this sample came from a bit of Pale Papaya gently applied with a Q-tip.  This card is old fashioned but very reminiscent of fall.  This would be a great masculine birthday card!

09.25.23 Truck msg layerThe message layer for the Autumn Truck Card features the same stamped set of pumpkins as found on the envelope.  A strip of DSP is added to a long side.  Some cards have the plaid DSP strip shown here and others have the orange dotted DSP seen on the card front.

The truck with pumpkins has been stamped on a Very Vanilla oval and is waiting for you to add some color.

One card is left for October Stamp.  As a reminder, the dates for this stamp camp are October 5, 6, and 7 from 10am to 4pm.  Cards To Go are also available.
